Volunteer - CiE Advisor

A unique opportunity to provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure the achievement of the campaign objectives and strategies for Amnesty’s Community is Everything (CIE) campaign, to end the overrepresentation of Indigenous kids in youth prisons and calling for governments to support more Indigenous-led solutions for kids and change laws for a fairer youth justice system.

This role is responsible for:

  • Contributing to planning for CIE campaign work, with a focus on the jurisdiction the member is located in
  • Championing the campaign in the relevant jurisdiction. This may include, at key moments, speaking publicly about the campaign in the media or other public speaking opportunities. All relevant media engagement activities will be facilitated and supported by Amnesty’s media team  
  • Contributing to campaign evaluation
