This is a great opportunity to volunteer at Amnesty International Australia for someone who is looking to further their experience in communications and social media, as well as their management and coordination skills.
This role is the head of a new team called National Communications Volunteer Team, who will be working on various projects and tasks including: the development of a new Activist Communications Strategy, social media and marketing support for our local activist groups, content creation and more. This role will be responsible for managing a group of communications volunteers, as well as the progress of the projects and tasks and will be reporting to the organising team.
- Lead a team of geographically dispersed communications team members.
- Work with the story and content team to source and create content.
- Review and edit communications to inspire and activists to take action.
- Maintaining an understanding of our audience and what they are interested in.
- Reviewing and improving activist communications.
