This is an exciting opportunity to join our Fundraising area and provide valuable knowledge and support to our Philanthropy team. The Philanthropy Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining a pipeline of current and prospective donors, engaging with trusts and foundations and supporting our major donor events and external communications.

You will be interested in driving change through research and professional and philanthropic relationships, you must have a passion for human rights and creating social change. You will use your strong account management skills to ensure that we are achieving our annual income targets.

Your creativity, inquisitiveness and proactive attitude will help you contribute to our broader Fundraising team, as well as ensure that our Philanthropy team continues to grow and contribute to the movement.

You will:

  • Research and identify prospective high value donors so that proposals can be appropriately targeted
  • Maintain a comprehensive relational database on high value donors
  • Identify, cultivate, raise funds from and manage relationships with an agreed portfolio of charitable trusts and foundations.
  • Identify funding opportunities from the broadest possible range of activities undertaken by Amnesty and, working with specific teams, to package these in ways that are appropriate to the needs and interests of potential Trusts and Foundations
  • Produce and deliver communications targeting high value donors, using a range of channels and technologies
  • Provide logistical support for high standard major donor events
  • Strong work ethic: energy, initiative, vision and commitment
